As the weather warms up, our drivers are getting excited to start the 2015 race season. Our winter of preparation has come to an end, and it is time for our drivers to START THEIR ENGINES! Two of the Dare 2 Dream Motorsports drivers will be heading out on an excellent adventure as they travel to two different race sites, compete in two different types of racing, and drive two different cars. Sound complicated? Trust me, it isn’t.
On Saturday, Jeremy Salenius and Doug Patterson will be competing in the first Kansas City Region SCCA Rally Cross event of 2015. They will head down to Garnett, KS to race at Holsworth Acres. The race site is the property of KCR SCCA member, Leonard Holsworth, and has been providing an excellent rally cross course for the past three years. They will be driving Patterson’s 2014 Ford Fiesta ST in the Prepared Front Wheel Drive class. Class entries show five registered in class so far, with the possibility for more showing up the day of the event.
On Sunday, they will be competing in the first Salina Region SCCA Autocross event of 2015. They will head west to Salina, KS and race Salenius’s 2008 Mini Cooper in the Street Touring Front Wheel Drive class. Registration shows that some great drivers are going to be at the event so competition will be tough. Jessica Dorn will also be making the trip to Garnett and Salina to provide support and get some great pictures of Team Dare 2 Dream.
