Gates are opening for the 99th running of the Indy 500, and one lucky member of Dare 2 Dream Motorsports is there to catch the action live. Doug Patterson has been in his home-state for the last week photographing and reporting on the practice runs and time trials that lead up this prestigious race. What better place for a race enthusiast to call his office than Indianapolis Motor Speedway?
Doug has already weighed in on his thoughts relating to the air-borne cars that plagued the practice runs last week. Check out his story on Formula1Blog.com http://www.formula1blog.com/other-racing/indycar-a-weird-qualifying-weekend-and-the-consequences-of-innovation/. I am impatiently waiting to see the amazing photos he has taken this year – some of my all-time favorite race photos are from Doug at previous Indy 500’s.
We are wishing the drivers a safe and speedy 200 laps as they race around the 2.5 mile oval track. To say that Team Dare 2 Dream is envious of Doug today is an understatement, but we are glad that Doug is getting his racing fix at such a world-renowned race. I guess we will have to re-live the experience when he returns and tells us all the exciting details.
