While the rest of the team worked on projects in their garage or spent time with family and friends across the pond, Lance was pushing Barney to new extremes at the Momentum Performance Driving Academy.
The event was hosted by World Racing League at Raceway Park of the Midlands. Lance loved the track and learned a lot, especially some driving line tricks and tuning tweaks from fellow drivers. Lance was fortunate enough to drive in all conditions. It was hot and dry the beginning of day 1, and Lance took advantage of the horsepower upgrades he made over the winter. Then the rain came, and Lance loved racing in the rain. “It takes so much away from the car and setup and puts it right in the driver’s hands,” noted Lance. He finished up his weekend racing in drying conditions and having a blast.
Adam and family spent some time back home in the UK. Not only did they reconnect with family and friends, but Adam also found himself riding along with a few thousand bikers down the scenic Poole Quay.
Jeremy and Doug discussed crazy ideas for Doug’s “brokus” Focus recently. Who knows, maybe after the rat rod and the trike, the Dare 2 Dream garage will have a sensible car to work on… but based on their brainstorming session, even sensible can be sensationalized.
Stay tuned for more updates as many of us head out to Heartland Park Topeka (HPT) for the SCCA Midwest Divisional this weekend for a 2-day event. Not only is HPT a great site for autocross with the large asphalt slab, but it will make for the perfect testing ground for the new trike. So far we have been limited to our driveway, and now we can truly see what this beast can do on the long straights and large enough room for proper drifting!
